Hello Folks!
My name is Alexander Mars, and I’m a Seattle based Product Manager / Program Manager (PM). My passion is in deploying software products and services to customers and end-users. I love communicating and collaborating with customers to understand their needs and accurately reflect them in the functional specifications. I’ve been working as a Program Manager and Product Manager (PM) over 15 years and always been learning new things. During that time I’ve delivered over hundred different software products, services and features. I’m proud to be a part of Project Management Professionals (PMP) community. It’s a highly valuable addition to my previously earned – Master of Science Degree (MSc) degree in Information Systems. My first job assignment was a System Engineer in the aerospace industry. I was responsible for designing modern avionic systems. Different types of system and flight simulators became my best friends for a long time.
That time I’ve learned a lot of new things. Shortly all of them helped me to get promoted to a Product Manager / Program Manager. My primary responsibilities were much extended. Everything has being pretty stable for a few years after that moment. The changes were going to come a little bit later when my family had decided to relocate to the Pacific Northwest.
Throughout my life I have a passion to learn new things and getting new skills. It helps me all the time. Moreover, I was interested in Web Technologies such as Web and Web Apps development since a student time.
After relocation to the Greater Seattle Area, my passion moved me to try myself in the web technologies. Shortly I’ve started working as a Web Developer updating, managing and maintaining of existing websites powered by different CMS’s. Meanwhile, I’ve started my intensive hand coding practice with HTML, XML, CSS and PHP. The same time I studied a lot of new stuff such as JavaScript, jQuery, REST APIs, AJAX, etc. Soon I realized that I’m on the right way. Till now I continue improving my skills, getting new knowledge and enjoying to be a Program Manager / Product Manager in software engineering. My current portfolio exceeds 2 hundreds completed projects with the overall budget about $100 millions.
